Aliens Salvation is the first of a series of games
The authors has a few more ideas up his sleeve for developping more open-hand board games.
His next idea is temporarily titled : "Barbarian Prince". It has common features with Alien Salvation, but with a completely new game play mechanism which will notably feature almost unlimited number of enemies, but sadly, less variations between them (well, having 34,5 millions different types of enemies isn't something easy to reproduce).
Like Alien Salvation, Barbatian Prince occurs in the past, but in this case, the medieval past.
Barbarians at the gate also has 2 layers of play : Collaborative and Competitive, where basically every player will collaborate to the greater good (getting rid of Barbarians) each using different techniques. At the same time however, they compete with each other to be the clear winner of the game.
There is also a third top secret game currently (in Spring 2010) being developed. Stay tuned for more updates !
Rest assured that the author's imagination has not dried up !
That's not all...
The author of Alien Salvation has spent over 15 years designing and developping a science-fiction universe which includes over 1000 pages of notes.
Sadly, all that work never produced any actual stories (thought one is in the pipeline about the beginning of that universe with over 50% of the story mapped), but all of the work on Alien Salvation and the ideas about Barbarians Prince are giving him ideas for his 4rd game, currently untitled.
